Nothing else is like it, this is the place for those of us who can appreciate the vast beauty of nature, the panoramic views of the ocean that open up to the south, west, and north from this unique property. To the south you will also see the famous Rogue River as it winds down from the valley and into the ocean, with the small town of Gold Beach just beyond. To the east you will see nothing but forest, meadows, trees, and wildlife.

Drive up past the Grandfather trees that have greeted visitors for hundreds of years as they climb the small mountain to this spot overlooking the entire coast. Come up to this private land, a place that few have seen and enjoyed until now. The beautiful home has been lovingly restored by the hands of the couple who own it, and you will see the love and the special touches in every place in the house, as the restoration continues. From each window you will have a different view of the coast, ocean, sky, forest, river, each more breathtaking than the last. Each window opens to a view that is different from the other windows in the house, and of course the view changes with the rush of the water and the colors of the sky. It will remind you of water colors, where the colors blend and run and change into something unexpected.

HOME

In the historic old west, this home overlooks the wonderful black pepper sand beaches of the southern Oregon coast with panoramic ocean views, where you can follow the path of the whales as they pass our shore. To the south east you have views of the famous Rogue River and the bridge, the wild and wonderful area that has been the setting for many books. The wild west experience of this house includes the cattle grazing on the hill as you climb to this restored home on the top of this coastal mountain. Before you enter the gates, watch for the Grandfather trees that have greeted visitors for a hundred years, and watch where you step! as below the house gates, there still exists a real family cattle farm! The land holds so much history, and the view is spectacular. You will enjoy this adventure by the sea at this estate on top of the mountain.

The owner walks to the beach from this house, it is about a 10 minute hike. Others drive to any of the many parks and open beaches surrounding the area. Or sit up here on the hill and watch the waves, the whales, the beaches from here.
