Why
travel out of your way to see the southern
coast of Oregon? Maybe it is the solitude. Maybe it is
to see nature as it used to be along every coast, but that you can only
see in a few places today. We are not
easy to get to, but the southern coast has the sunshine, the cool
breezes, and the absolute beauty that will leave you refreshed.
Below are just a few samples of the places you will enjoy along our
coast.
We call it the Gold coast of Oregon for the sunshine that we enjoy all
spring, summer and fall, and for the gold that can still sometimes be
found on the beaches here.
Otter Point State Park
One of the many parks along the southern coast. This park has
hiking trails with awesome views of the ocean, coast, wildlife, birds,
and trees.
Located only 2 miles north of
Gold Beach, this park has plenty of parking, and walking/hiking trails.

State Parks all along the coast
This part of Oregon has hundreds of species of
birds, trees, and plants. Spring and fall watch the
migration of birds (including thousands of hummingbirds) and whales.
In the spring you will see thousands of varieties of flowers along the
coast.

Myers Beach
A favorite spot for windsailing, this cove is 7 miles
south of Gold Beach on the southern coast, and has perfect surf for the
sport. It is also a great place to park and walk the beaches, look
at tide pools and search the beach for driftwood. To get better
perspective, notice the people walking along the beach in the photo.

Arch Rock Roadside Park
Located between Brookings and Gold Beach on the southern
Oregon coast, Arch Rock roadside park is just one of the places to stop
along the hwy 101. Each roadside park offers excellent
views, great photo ops, and hiking trails.

slowly through the town while people and pets
walk along the sidewalks. Slow down, enjoy!
